ESU 6 Community Agency Night took place on Monday, March 24 at the ESU 6 main office in Milford. This was an evening where parents, guardians and young adults could meet and learn about agencies who work with people with disabilities throughout their lifespan. Postponed due to a spring blizzard, the community came together on the rescheduled date to offer support and services for families throughout the region.

The agencies and programs available to participate in the event were:

  • Autism Center of Nebraska

  • Nebraska Commision for the Blind and Visually Impaired

  • PTI-Nebraska

  • Vocational Rehabilitation

  • SE Nebraska ASD Network

  • Autism Society of Nebraska

  • Special Olympics

  • ARC of Lincoln

  • Early Development Network

  • League of Human Dignity

  • ESU6 CRAVE program

  • ESU6 SUCCESS program

In addition to networking with agencies, guests attended a virtual presentation by PTI-Nebraska and ESU 6 Transition Services, which focused on the Guided Application for Waiver Services, an essential resource for families navigating the transition process. Service providers, advocacy groups, and families shared a meal together, thanks to the generous support of Farmers and Merchants Bank of Milford. The bank provided pizza, fresh fruit, and cookies from the local Pizza Kitchen and welcomed attendees as they arrived.
