Speech-Language

The focus of ESU 6 Speech-Language Pathologists and Language Resource Teachers is the communication abilities of students.  SLPs and Language Resource Teachers do the following:

  • correct, improve or alleviate articulation, fluency, voice, language and swallowing impairments

  • promote the development, improvement and use of functional communication skills

  • provide support in the general educational environment to lessen the disability's social consequence by facilitating successful participation, socialization and learning
