TITLE Student Services Supervisor
Student Services / Geneva, NE
M-F / 8:00am-4:00pm
GENERAL INFORMATION The Student Services Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of ESU 6 Preschool and Special Education programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides direct supervision to the SUCCESS and TYKE programs

  • Assists individual districts (through cooperation with their Special Education Director) with:

  • Local special education budgeting

  • Preparation of state and federal reports

  • Nebraska State Department Audits

  • Compliance with State and Federal Regulations

  • Development of district-owned programs

  • Prepares, monitors and administers program budgets

  • Oversees the identification of pre-school children with disabilities

  • Participates in regional, state and national Special Education organizations

  • Prepares reports for federal, state and local regulatory agencies

  • Interprets laws, rules and regulations to students, parents and staff

  • Develops programs and coordinates services through the Special Education departments at the request of local districts

  • Assumes responsibility for formal evaluations of assigned Special Education personnel

  • Keeps current with Special Education changes by attending local, state, regional and national meetings

  • Reports to the ESU 6 Administrator regarding all aspects of Special Education and keeps him/her informed of all irregularities that may occur

  • Regular and reliable on-site  attendance is an essential function of this position

QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field. Nebraska Administrative Certificate endorsed in Special Education Administration PreK-12 required. Five years PreK-12 teaching experience with emphasis in Special Education or related field preferred. Educational budgetary experience preferred. Valid driver's license.
SALARY RANGE Commensurate with education and experience
