GENERAL INFORMATION
|
The Student Services Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of ESU 6 Preschool and Special Education programs.
|
DUTIES
|
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Local special education budgeting
-
Preparation of state and federal reports
-
Nebraska State Department Audits
-
Compliance with State and Federal Regulations
-
Development of district-owned programs
-
Prepares, monitors and administers program budgets
-
Oversees the identification of pre-school children with disabilities
-
Participates in regional, state and national Special Education organizations
-
Prepares reports for federal, state and local regulatory agencies
-
Interprets laws, rules and regulations to students, parents and staff
-
Develops programs and coordinates services through the Special Education departments at the request of local districts
-
Assumes responsibility for formal evaluations of assigned Special Education personnel
-
Keeps current with Special Education changes by attending local, state, regional and national meetings
-
Reports to the ESU 6 Administrator regarding all aspects of Special Education and keeps him/her informed of all irregularities that may occur
-
Regular and reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this position

QUALIFICATIONS
|
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field.
Nebraska Administrative Certificate endorsed in Special Education Administration PreK-12 required.
Five years PreK-12 teaching experience with emphasis in Special Education or related field preferred.
Educational budgetary experience preferred. Valid driver's license.

SALARY RANGE
|
Commensurate with education and experience
|
