The ESU 6 Local Substitute Teacher Consortium allows ESU 6 to serve as the certificate holder for any substitutes who are accepted into this program, which then allows them to flex to all districts who are members of the consortium.
This consortium was created as a partnership with the educator preparation programs at the post-secondary institutions within our service area.
Qualifications:
- The local substitute teaching permit requires the completion of 60 semester hours of college credit with credit in education related coursework as well as:
- Completion of the NDE local substitute application
- Consent to and personal payment for criminal fingerprints background check
- Completion of NDE required human relations training
- Full participation in the ESU 6 local substitute training and orientation
